McKinley Elementary is proud to be a “Leader in Me” School. The Leader in Me initiative is based upon Dr. Steven Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. These habits focus on essential life skills and characteristics students will need to thrive in the future. Part of the “Leader in Me” initiative includes promoting leadership in children. Specifically, we are trying to teach children how to be leaders in their own lives.

Below are the “Seven Habits” for our Leader in Me program:
