A message from

Principal Tammi Turner

I am so very grateful for the opportunity to lead and represent McKinley Elementary School for another year!  I look forward to meeting you in person and building strong and positive partnerships that will not only build upon the long-standing traditions of McKinley, but that will also support our students, our staff, and our families as we look toward the future.  At MCK, we are made up of a diverse group of individuals from a variety of backgrounds who strive for excellence TOGETHER.

To our returning students, I extend a warm welcome back. Your dedication to learning, growth, and support for one another is what makes our school special. I encourage you to continue pushing the boundaries of your potential and explore new avenues of knowledge and personal development. Embrace every challenge as an opportunity to learn, and let your curiosity lead the way.

To our new students and their parents, I extend a heartfelt welcome to the McKinley family. We are thrilled to have you join us, and we promise to nurture your individuality while fostering a sense of belonging. Your unique perspectives and talents will undoubtedly enrich our school community, and we look forward to witnessing your growth and accomplishments.

I also want to express my gratitude to our dedicated team of educators and staff. Your passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to our students’ well-being are the driving forces behind our school’s success. As we continue this journey together, let us stand united, supporting one another to create an environment where excellence thrives.

This school year we will continue our efforts to improve student achievement. Accelerating student achievement is our priority, and our teachers and support staff have been diligently working all summer to prepare for your children to arrive!   In addition, we are constantly reflecting and refining our instructional practices to be the best we can for each one of our students. We are also committed to ensuring all students are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to promote creativity, character, citizenship, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Our school community is one of strength and resilience, and we will walk alongside one another throughout this journey.  We are here for you and we will do this TOGETHER.

With Muskie Pride,

Tammi Turner
